Hallo,
hab mir ein Skype Telefon gekauft, DualPhone.
Und leider übersehen, dass das auf Windows ME nicht läuft, und höher kann ich windowsmäßig nicht gehen.
Bei Goggle habe ich nichts gefunden, was mir sagt, dass dieses Telefon unter Ubuntu läuft.
Aber vielleicht weiß ja einer von euch was?

Die zweite Generation der Dualphones sollte die Skype Software direkt integriert haben und somit direkt am Netzwerk laufen.

Ansonsten einfach mal ne aktuelle Live-CD booten (Ubtuntu zb.), das Telefon dranstecken und gucken was passiert. "dmesg" in einem Terminal sollte ein wenig aufschluss darüber geben was nach dem Anstecken passiert ist.

Das Telefon hat Copyright von 2005, also eher nicht die 2te Generation. Ist auch eine Windows-Installations-CD dabei, Vista wird nicht erwähnt (zum Glück XP!).

Das Telefon wird doch offenbar korrekt erkannt vom System. Woran machst du fest, dass es nicht genutzt werden kann?

Im Display des Telefons steht:

Da es aber über USB angeschlossen ist und der PC auch läuft, muß es ja an was anderem liegen.

Wenn ich über das Telefon eine Verbindung aufbauen will, werden zuerst im Display meine Kontakte anzeigt. Ich kann die aber selber nicht eintippen, also muß sich die das Telefon m.E. vom PC holen, und das tuts nicht.
Wenn ich nämlich auf die PC-Anruf-Taste drücke, steht da

Unter Windows braucht es eine Installation von der CD, und daher bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass auch Linux nicht einfach so mit dem Telefon klarkommt. So wie es in der Beschreibung gehen sollte, um jemand anzurufen, geht es nicht, kommt gleich die Fehlermeldung.
