Nachdem ich jetzt KDE (endlich) zum Laufen gebracht habe stellte ich entsetzt fest, das Linux sehr viele Hardwarekomponente scheinbar nicht unterstützt. 1. Meine Radeon 9200 SE Atlantis von Sapphire. Ich hab' mir extra 'nen Treiber runtergeladen (*.rpm), doch den kann ich scheinbar nicht installieren. Ich hab' draufgeklickt und im anschließenden Fenster auf: Installieren mit [Name einse Programms] (oder so ähnlich). Danach erscheint aber nix und ich ging davon aus, dass das Paket eingebunden wurde. Ich konnte den Treiber aber scheinbar nicht "aktivieren". Mein Bildschirm wird scheinbar erkannt, doch flimmer das Bild (mit schätzungsweise 65 Hertz). Und wenn ich 'ne 3D Anwendung starten will, erscheint 'ne Meldung, dass ich entweder keine 3D Karte habe, oder die 3D Erweiterung nicht aktiviert sei. Bei 3D Anwendungen, selbst bei 3D Bildschirmschonern ruckelt das Bild (oder es bleibt schwarz). 2. T-Sinus 111 Data W-Lan Karte über USB. Hab' mich 'mal im Netz umgeschaut und scheinbar gibt es keinen Treiber für jegliche W-Lan Karte, auf jeden Fall nicht unter Linux. 3. Terratec SixPack 5.1 Soundkarte. Hab's hinbekommen das System so zu konfigurieren, dass ich wenigstens bei den Frontlautsprechern etwas hören kann, doch Center, Rear und der Bass bleiben ungenutzt. Ich hab' rund 70 Euro für die Karte bezahlt und der Hersteller macht keine Treiber für Linux. Ich hoffe, das mir jemand 'mal zu wenigstems einem der Punkte helfen kann. Hab' ich bei Produkten, wie bei meiner W-Lan Karte, die nicht auf http://cdb.suse.de/ eingetragen sind, überhaupt eine Chance darauf diese, wenigstens Ansatzweise, unter Linux zum laufen zu bringen? Für eure Hilfe wäre ich euch sehr sehr dankbar (vielleicht wird's ja dann doch noch etwas mit der spendabelen Belohnung Master-X |

| Themenstarter Registriert seit: 30.09.03 ![]() Likes: 0 | Gibt's auch andere Formate als rpm (klar gibt's die, doch rpm würde ich fast mit exe vergleichen, im Sinne davon, dass es ein beliebtes installationsformat ist )?Also Terratech stellt definitiv keine Linux Treiber her (hab' aber noch nicht rausgefunden, warum). Bei der Telekom hab' ich auch nix gefunden. Wenn jemand einen selbstgeschriebenen Treiber für 5.1 Unterstützung hat (selbst geschrieben oder Link dazu), dann wäre ich dem sehr dankbar, ebenso gilt das gleiche für die W-Lan Karte. OK, ich werd' den X-Server beenden und dann 'mal den Befehl rpm -ih... ausprobieren. Gäbe es eigentlich auch die Möglichkeit das ganze mit dem Windowsemulator zu installieren und dann zum Laufen zu bringen (auf jeden Fall 'mal meiner W-Lan Karte)? Leider hab' ich den unter KDE noch nicht gefunden, wo befindet sich der denn (wenn er denn überhaupt installiert ist)? Ich hab' jetzt zwei NTFS Partitionen (und eine Linux), wenn ich die NTFS wieder in FAT konvertiere, kann ich dann ohne Probleme die Daten darauf sowohl lesen, als auch schreiben, oder besteht ein Restrisiko, dass mir dabei die Partition kaputt geht (wie ich in diesem Forum gelesen habe es mit einigen NTFS Partitionen der Fall sein soll)? Vielen Dank Leuts und wenn ich erst 'mal meine "Grundarbeitsmaterialien" habe (W-Lan Karte für's I-Net, Graffikartentreiber für hoffentlich flimmerfreien Bildschirm und Soundkartenunterstützung für die Hintergrundmusik, damit's bei längeren Prozeduren nicht langweilig wird), dann kann ich vieles andere eigentlich auch alleine herausfinden, so wie das bei Windows auch gefunzt hat (ich weiß auch, dass Linux nicht Windows ist, aber dafür hatte ich bei Windows die Informationsquelle Internet nicht). Ich hab's jetzt geschafft wenigstens den Graifikkartentreiber zu installieren, was mir wenigstens ein flimmerfreies Bild verschafft. Wenn man's einmal gemacht hat klingt alles logisch, aber als Windows "Verwöhnter" kommt man eben nicht gleich selber drauf . Den Befehl rpm -ih hab' ich allerdings auch noch nicht gelesen. Nur rpm -i (zum installieren) und rpm -u (für upzudaten, falls Datei schon verhanden). Bei 8.0 ging rpm -i allerdings auch schon nicht und rpm -u wollte die Datei deinstallieren, aber Linux meinte, dass ich dazu den Befehl rpm -uninstall benutzen sollte.Falls ihr keine Treiber habt, steht da irgendwo ungefähr 'ne Anleitung, wie man sich so etwas selber schreibt . Ein bisschen programmieren kann ich ja, aber Treiber und Linux ist (noch) Neuland für mich .Na ja, wenigstens für einen W-Lan Treiber wär' ich dankbar, weil ich dann nicht immer ins Windows muss, wenn ich ins Netz will. Desweiteren scheint die 3D Ünterstützung immer noch nicht aktiviert zu sein (laut Fehlermeldung und anschließendem Ruckeln der 3 D Programme). Wo kann ich das denn einstellen? | Guest Likes: | grundsätzliches zu rpm: rpm-pakete sind nichts anderes wie auf eine bestimmte cpu-familie vorkonfigurierte tarballs, welche alles automatisch in die richtigen verzeichnisse schreiben und daher leicht managen lassen. rpm hat mit exe (execute) daher wenig zu tun. |

Laut Netgear-Supportsoll dieser folgenden Chipsatz haben: Prism 3.0 from Globespan/Virata (formerly known as Intersil ) Das Packed (linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre16.tar) hab ich mir nach der letzten Meldung von Chlorat heruntergeladen. Durch langes durchlesen und herum probieren habe ich es einfach nicht auf die reihe gekriegt dieses ding zu installieren. Kann mir das jemand erklären als wäre ich 4 Jahre alt? |

| hmm, damit du auch sourround sound hast: schau mal als root mit lspci -v was da zu deiner karte steht und poste es mal hier, dann kann ich dir sicher weiterhelfen. | |

Da sind ja nur einzelne Dateien, die man nicht wirklich installieren kann. Was die Soundkarte angeht werde ich demnächst 'mal danach schauen und es dann hier posten. Bis dann.
