Kali läuft in der VM nicht - Hilfe gesucht!

Hallo Leute,

ich versuche seit kurzem Kali Linux in meiner VirtualBox zu installieren, es will aber einfach nicht funktionieren.

Ich habe in der VM bereits Ubuntu, Windows XP und Arch laufen lassen - Alles problemlos.

Ich habe das Kali iso image auch parallel auf meinem USB Stick, da bootet es nochmal. Außerdem, habe ich heute ein neues image gedownloaded und damit funktionniert es ebenfalls nicht - Liegt also nicht an der Datei.

Der Fehler tritt auf, wenn ich im Installationsmenü von Kali, auf installieren gehe, es wird erst ca. eine Sekunde gebootet und hängt sich dann komplett auf.

Ich hoffe mir kann jemand weiter helfen, da ich mir momentan ein Virtual Lab einrichte und ohne Kali ist das etwas mager :wink:

Es ist mir irgendwie peinlich - aber leider müssen wir das auf die gute alte Art probieren ;)

Sprich: die grobe VM Konfiguration, samt VirtualBoxversion wäre schon hilfreich (insbesondere, welche Hardwarevirtualisierungsoptionen aktiv sind) - besser aber gleich die Ausgabe von

Jedenfalls:
kali-linux-1.0.9a-amd64.iso (sha1sum: 2744d50f56c3d6332bc75e676f36aad3058d0aad == also wie auf der Webseite angegeben ;) ) auf VirtualBox 4.3.16:

1) lässt sich als ISO einbinden (Devices-> CD/DVD -> Virtual CD/DVD file) und die Installation startet (bis zum "copying data to disk" getestet),
2) Livemodus bootet normal bis zum Desktop durch.

Bei der VM Erstellung wurde "Debian 64-bit" ausgewählt, Rest eigentlich default (wobei vermutlich 8GB Platte für die Installation nicht ausreichen werden), bzw. siehe spoiler mit der Konfiguration (das sollte sich eigentlich komplett in der GUI einstellen lassen - ich mag jetzt allerdings nicht so wirklich, alle möglichen Einstellungsdialoge "abzufotografieren" ;) ).
