installation des elsa airlancers

hi,
ich hab grad das problem dass ich die treiber für den 11 M/Bit Airlancer von Elsa Lancom istallieren will. krieg das aber nicht hin.
erst steht in so nem readme file ich soll pcmcia-cs-3.2.7.tar runterladen und installieren, das hab ich gemacht: in usr/scr/pcmcia-cs-3.2.7 entpackt und dann make config, make all, make install ausgeführt. sieht für mich aus das es geklappt hat (was allerdings nix heißen soll ). Erste Frage: warum muss ich pcmcia installieren wenn der linux pc gar keinen pcmcia-slot besitzt? der airlancer ist ein usb-gerät. check ich net! naja dann hab ich irgendwann mal aller treiber für den airlancer runtergeladen. die datei heißt WILLI620.tgz. hab ich dann auch entpackt aber einfach in /root, da sind folgende dateien drin:

Verzeichnisse:
--> etc
--> include
--> lib
--> man
--> wireless

Dateien:
--> Build
--> Install
--> LICENSE.wavelan2_cs
--> README.wavelan2_cs
--> wavelan2_cs.mk

was soll ich etz damit anfangen. bin der volle linux noob *g*. In dem readme-file steht folgendes:

4.2 Build the driver

1) Obtain a copy of the Linux PCMCIA package from a
CD-ROM of your Linux distribution or download the
latest version from:
http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net

For your convenience, the Agere Systems Wireless
CD-ROM contains a copy of the PCMCIA package in sub-
directory: Xtras/Linux/PCMCIA

2) To unpack the Linux PCMCIA package, copy it to the
current working directory and type:
% tar xzvf pcmcia-cs-3.1.29.tar.gz

Note: If you use the archive supplied on the CDROM,
use archive name "pc3_1_29.tgz" instead of
"pcmcia-cs-3.1.29.tar.gz".

3) Extract the wavelan2_cs distribution archive on top
of the Linux PCMCIA package.
% cd pcmcia-cs-3.1.29
% tar xzvf ../wavelan2_cs-6.20.tar.gz

Note: If you use the archive supplied on the CDROM,
use archive name "../willi620.tgz" instead of
"../wavelan2_cs-6.20.tar.gz".

so soweit so gut bis dahin hab ichs ja schon, und etz weiter:

4) To build and install the driver, follow the
procedure below:
% make config

Answer the presented questions. Usually the default
answers are OK and pressing "Enter" is enough.
On RedHat 7.1 systems however, you should specify
"/usr/src/linux-2.4" as the Linux source directory
instead of the default "/usr/src/linux".

For more detailed information on configuration,
building and installing, see the PCMCIA-HOWTO.

Now run the Build script:
% ./Build

This script determines whether your system uses
in-kernel PCMCIA and either builds the full PCMCIA
package or just the driver.

Before installing the driver with the Install
script, you must become 'root':
% su
..

# ./Install

ich soll also in dem verzeichnis wo ich willi620.tgz entpackt hab make config ausführen, was zur folge hat dass "make: *** Keine Regel, um >>config<< zu erstellen. Schluss." ausgegeben wird. hä wieso denn des? was issn etz scho wieder falsch? bitte helft mir!!!!

hmm hab was übersehn. ich muss dieses wlli620 ding in das selbe dir wie pcmcia... entpacken und dann make config usw. unter dienste gibt pcmcia und der is gestartet. aber der airlancer blinkt immer noch net. hat des vielleicht eher was mit usb zu tun?

steht irgendwo, dass dies auch die treiber fuer die usb version sind??

nö des steht nirgends in dem packet aber ich hab mal alle möglichen treiber die elsa dazu hatte in einem zip-file gezogen und der treiber ist im Unterverzeichnis "Linux". Kann eigentlich net so verkehrt sein.
Im Hardware-Browser zeigt er mir übrigens den ELSA Airlancer USB 11 und USB-Geräte an, also der müsst den dann doch eigentlich erkannt haben aber wie krieg ich den etz do hin, dass er läuft?
