Debian Atheros WLAN (Madwifi Treiber)

Hallo,
ich hab mal Testweise Debian 3.1 Sarge auf meiner zweiten Festplatte installiert.

Um ins Internet zu kommen brauche ich dafür den Madwifi Treiber der bei anderen Distributionen die ich ausprobiert hab schon vorinstalliert sind.

Den Treiber selbst du kompilieren lass ich lieber gleich weil dann wieder X Programme fehlen und dafür wieder x Programme Fehlen, und ich dann die ganze Zeit zwischen Windows und Linux herumschalten muss. Auf jeden Fall hab folgendes ausprobiert um den Treiber zu Installieren.

1) Terminal > aptitude > suche nach madwifi, mad, wifi... findet jedoch nichts.
2) Ubuntu DVD eingelegt und in Synaptic als Packetquelle hinzugefügt, findet auch nichts.
3) Terminal > updatedb durchgeführt und dann noch mal bei Synaptic gekuckt, nicht.
4) Bin über Windows auf --> http://debian.isg.ee.ethz.ch/public/pool-sarge/madwifi/ gegangen und hab mir den madwifi-source_20041023-1_all.deb runtergeladen. Beim installieren kam ein Fehler. (Ich weiß das in den Namen des dep Paketes 'source' steht aber das war das einzigste Packet was ich gefunden hab und hoffe nicht das es jetzt der Sourcecode verpackt in ner dep Datei ist.)

Würde mich freuen wenn mir jemand helfen kann.

So... Ich hab kernel-header installiert und dann eine verknüpfung vom build Ordner in den eigendlichen Kernel Ordner gemacht. Kompilieren und installieren hat auch funktioniert.

Jetzt funktioniert modprobe wlan aber nicht... das Modul kann nicht geladen werden. Weiss jemand was zu tun ist?

Eigentlich macht mich des grad a bissl zornig, wenn mann einfach mal google hernehmen würde sheep!!!

Glaubst du es ist lustig die ganze zeit zwischen windows und debian herumzuschalten, evtl. google zu benutzen und dann doch entäuscht zu werden? Außerdem trägt dieser Beitrag auch zu google dabei :)
