Memorystick mit zwei Partitionen unter Windows XP

Hallo Zusammen!
Ich habe auf meinem 8GB MemoryStick mit GParted zwei FAT32 Partitionen angelegt, einmal 6GB und einmal 2GB. Die kleinere Partition möchte ich mit TrueCrypt verschlüsseln.

Unter meinem Debian kann ich beide Partitionen problemlos mounten, unter XP wird nur eine Partition automatisch gemountet. In der Datenträgerverwaltung sehe ich beide Partitionen ("fehlerfrei"), wenn ich bei der zweiten Partition aber etwas machen möchte, bspw. einen Laufwerkbuchstaben zuweisen, kommt die Fehlermeldung, dass die Partition noch nicht aktiv sei und ich dafür Windows neu starten solle. Das bringt aber leider nichts.

Was kann ich tun, damit auch unter Windows beide Partitionen nutzbar sind?

ps. falls das was zur Sache tut: ich habe noch keine der Partitionen verschlüsselt. Hab sie erst erstellt.
 
Du hast mein Problem leider nicht verstanden.

Den Datenträger kann ich problemlos formatieren. Probleme habe ich mit dem Mounten der zwei Partitionen unter Windows Betriebssystemen.
 
Multi partition a USB flash drive in Windows

Ever wondered how to set up more than one partition on a USB flash drive using Windows XP? In the following tutorial, I'll show you how to do just that. But first, let me explain how it works. By default, a USB flash drive is detected by Windows XP/Vista as removable media and thus will not display more than one partition. In addition, Windows will not allow you to multi-partition removable media. However, if we can make Windows see the USB flash drive as a fixed drive, Windows will then allow us to create multiple USB flash drive partitions. Windows will also detect and display those multiple USB flash drive partitions.

In order for this to happen, we need to flip the Removable Media Bit (RMB) on the USB Device. This will tell Windows that the flash drive is a fixed disk and not removable media. After successfully flipping the bit, you'll be able to multi partition the flash drive and Windows will display all partitions.

Hallo,

ich weiß das das Thema schon n bisschen älter ist, antworte aba trotzdem mal:

Ich habe nach ein wenig googeln das hier gefunden:

danach müsste man auf jedem PC, auf dem die Partitionen angezeigt werden sollen, erst einen Treiber installieren. Also, wenn du den Stick nur @home verwendest, könnte das die Lösung für dich sein.
