mit X Font Server (oder doch mit dem Xserver?)

Hallo!

Folgendes Problem:
Ich hab saemtliche TTF's ins Verzeichnis /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType kopiert, dann
# cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType
# ttmkfdir -o fonts.dir
# chkfontpath --add /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType
# killall -s SIGHUP xfs
# killall -s SIGUSR2 xfs

in der xorg.conf steht als FontPath sowohl unix/:7100 als auch unix/:-1

die Config des Xfs sieht so aus:

client-limit = 10
clone-self = on
catalogue = /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc:unscaled,
        /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi:unscaled,
        /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi:unscaled,
        /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1,
        /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType,
        /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1

error-file = /var/log/xfs.err
default-point-size = 120
default-resolutions = 75,75,100,100
deferglyphs = 16
use-syslog = off
no-listen = tcp

in der Errorlog des XFS steht nichts, aber die Fonts sind trotzdem nicht vorhanden, bzw fuer Anwendungen nicht benutzbar.
