RapidRAW v1.5.6 wurde vor ein paar Stunden veröffentlicht. Für alle, die ihre RAW-Fotos unter Linux schnell sichten und vorsortieren wollen, ist das Projekt (unterstützt von mittlerweile 70 Entwicklern) 
weiterhin sehr interessant. Kurz eingeordnet: RapidRAW versteht sich weniger als vollwertiger Lightroom-Ersatz, sondern eher als sehr performanter RAW-Viewer mit grundlegenden Editierfunktionen – ideal für Culling, Vorauswahl und erste Anpassungen.

This update focuses heavily on restructuring the core of RapidRAW to make the application more stable, maintainable, and organized. Alongside a major architectural migration to Zustand to reduce UI rendering overhead, I’ve introduced full internationalization support starting with German, custom albums and multi-root folder trees, an advanced query-based search bar supporting complex Boolean logic, a brand new EXIF overlay, and cleaner in-canvas masking controls.

- nicht-destruktive Anpassungen mit unmittelbarer visueller Rückmeldung: (Belichtung, Weißabgleich, Tonwerte etc. werden direkt im Bild sichtbar – quasi „Live Preview“ im Workflow drinne)
- klarer Fokus auf Geschwindigkeit und Usability
- schlanke Oberfläche, kein überladener Workflow
