Ubuntu: Radeon + AIGLX +BERYL = Crash

Ich muss mich nohmal melden!
ich hab jetzt auf meinem ubuntu edgy system die radeon Treiber am laufen.(9600XT)
Aber wenn ich Beryl-manager starte crasht mein ganzer Xserver und ich kann nur noch die maus bewegen.
Das passiert unter AIGLX mit radeon un XGL mit fglrx und radeon
ich brach echt hilfe denn beryl macht süchtig! sagt bescheid wenn ihr noch infos braucht!

Und poste mal deine xorg.conf. Evtl liegt da der Fehler....

Die xorg.conf sieht sauber aus.
Welchen ATI-Treiber hast du installiert?
Was sagt fglrxinfo?
Viel mehr kann ich dir bei der AIGLX-Untersttützung nicht helfen, da ich selber nur Beryl mit XGL verwende.
Zur Not probier mal Beryl mit XGL-Support mit Hilfe dieser Anleitung zu installieren --> http://wiki.beryl-project.org/wiki/Install_Beryl_on_Ubuntu_Edgy_with_XGL

oder was auch noch klappen könnte:
Deinstallier Beryl und installier es neu, aber lass die xorg.conf und die Treiber so wie sie momentan sind.

Xgl funktioniert auch nicht aber das mit dem installieren/deinstallieren probier ich gleich mal aus

Bin zwar nicht so bewandert aber "Mesa" ist immer scheiße ...

Ich habe gerade diesen Link gefunden, der geht auf deine Treiberproblematik ein.
Am besten du schmeißt alles wieder runter und folgst diesem HOWTO Schritt für Schritt...

Grundsätzlich ja aber hier handelt es sich um freie Treiber die etwas unterstützen was die offirziellen treiber (noch) nicht können somit ist MEsa Ok

Ich hab das Howto schritt für schritt durchgegangen aber immer wieder der selbe freeze fehler.
Interssanter weise ist direct rrendering aus aber glxgears sehen flüssig aus...
ich schau mich mal bei XGL um

Kommentier mal in deiner xorg.conf in der Modules-Section folgendes aus:

Load "dri"

Der XGL-Server selbst unterstützt auch kein Direct-Rendering. Allerdings laufen denoch 3D-Anwendungen problemlos, da die Mesa- und die anderen Herstellertreiber eigene Bibliotheken mitbringen.

thx aber wie getippt es geht da ich auf Fglrx+Xgl umgestiegen bin.
