hoi,

seit neuesten bekomm ich folgende Fehlermeldung, wenn ich VLC starten möchte:

diogenes@SUSI:~$ vlc
VLC media player 0.8.6a Janus

Muss ich auf ein Update warten, downgraden, oder eine andere Einstellung vornehmen, damit es wieder funktioniert? Eine Neuinstallation von X-ORG hat nichts gebracht. Danke für eure Hilfe

Das ist ein bekanntes Problem des letzten Security-Fixes von Xorg. Folgende Zeile in der Extensions-Section der xorg.conf soll Abhilfe verschaffen:

  Option       "MIT-SHM" "no"

Solltest du noch keine Extensions-Section haben, diese einfach an die xorg.conf anhängen:

Section "Extensions"
  Option       "MIT-SHM" "no"
